iPhone TV Come to Japan





This tuner and external battery combo is sold at 7 Softbank shops since the end of 2008. It will be officially available nationwide on January 9th.
The tuner is connected with iPhone via WiFi, however, iPhone Touch, which should be able to work with WiFi, does not support this gear.
Now iPhone overcame one disadvantage with 9,840 yen (about US $100) and can get external battery as an extra.

Wi-Fi on Japan's Bullet Train Vs Wi-Fi on Boston's Commuter Train



Japan : Starting in March 2009, passengers on Japan’s super fast bullet trains, N700-type, will be able to log on to the Internet while traveling at 270 kilometers per hour. With connections speeds of 2Mbps, commuters can enjoy Internet access while traveling be it for business or entertainment. to use this service, commuters would be able to pay ¥500 (US$5.73) per day, or ¥1,680($19.25) for a monthly subscription.this service is a part of the NTT communications HotSpot service efforts being deployed across Japan.



Boston : other side of the world, WAAV and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) are now installing the AirBox X2 in order to deliver free Wi-Fi on their commuter trains for customers, only this service is free. The Wi-Fi will be using a 3G connection. The project will be completed sometime in 2009.

Alltel has announced a GPS application for the Motorola V3A, V3C, V3M, V9M and K1M, the Samsung Muse, LG AX656 and AX8600, the BlackBerry Curve 8330 and the BlackBerry Pearl 8110.
The application can be downloaded from the Navigation folder of the phone’s Alltel/Axcess Shop or by visiting alltel.com.
